Pantano de la Viñuela

Cortijo Cabrilla is set in the small village of Vilo, in a region of Málaga province called Axarquía, in between Sierra Tejeda and Sierra Almijara, surrounded by other sheer mountains like Sierra de Enmedio, Palomera and Jobo, or Batán river. Many springs are found in the area area together with wonderful flora and fauna. Plenty of outdoor activities are offered.

What makes Cortijo Cabrilla a perfect place to spend your holidays is that it is not only near mountains but also close to the sea, with its many beaches. The weather is hot in summer and mild in winter. This country house has good access because it is well connected to the A-7204, the inland route from Málaga as well as to the coastline motorway A-7.

Bar en Periana

We can find many small villages in the surrounding mountains, where we may still find ancient traditions. An excelent, and well known, olive oil is also produced here in Cooperativa de Mondrón factory, where a small museum is open to visit.

One mile away is Baños de Vilo, one thousand years old Arabic spa, good for skin. Also highlight the popular architecture, cultivated almond, olive, orange and the very popular, due to its quality, Periana’s peaches. Oaks, chaparral, carob, thyme and rosemary bushes… scenery make this the ideal place to relax your senses.
